What will I be doing in this course?
This subject consists of practical project work and industry study that develops a broad range of skills and knowledge related to the graphics and drafting industries, together with an introduction to industry processes and practices.
The content of the course will be covered through industry visits, practical projects, developed computer skills, and associated theory.
Students will also learn to develop a management folio along with an understanding of current WH&S principles.
For the HSC, students will be required to design, develop, construct and present a major project with a management folio. These will contribute 60% of the student’s HSC mark.
The exam is worth 40% of the total mark.
A major emphasis in this course is an understanding of, and use of technology associated with the graphics and drafting industries together with project management.
The course will develop student skills in:
- Engineering Drawing
- Architectural Drawing
- Product Drawing
- Computer Aided Drafting
- Rendering Techniques
