Years 11 and 12 Photography, Video and Digital Imaging
The stage 6 Photography, Video and Digital Imaging course will allow students to explore, develop and express their own photographic point of view. Students will explore the history of photography and experience these techniques in the wet darkroom. These techniques and skills will be built on as they work towards their own major project in Year 12. Students will also learn how to use a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera and use digital processes to explore and develop their own personal style. Students will also learn to use Adobe Photoshop and other industry standard software to express their own point of view in both photography and film making.
By the end of the course students will have a portfolio of photographic projects that will display their personal photographic style across different photographic genres that include portraiture, landscapes, still life and movie making. They will work towards their own personal exhibition of photographs and display their work with their fellow students. The skills developed over the course will be a valuable asset in the future for employment, further study or their own personal photography.
